Organizational Structure

There are local groups in German cities where members meet regularly. These local groups are supported by a coordination team. There are also project groups, which are supervised by one or more local groups.

Each year, new guidelines are set at the general assembly and the board, consisting of seven to nine members, is elected. The advisory board consists of three to eight persons elected by the general assembly, who support the association as a neutral and independent body. The two to four-member audit committee, also elected at the general assembly, monitors whether the association's work is carried out in accordance with the articles of association and the guidelines, and reviews the annual financial statement, the activity report, and the account sheets.

In the member handout for interested parties, you will find a brief summary of how the work at Studieren Ohne Grenzen is organized.

Ethical Fundraising & Ethical Cooperation

Studieren Ohne Grenzen is a donation-funded non-profit association. Donations also mean identification with and trust in the association. To meet the trust of our supporters and the self-image of our association, we set high ethical standards. We are convinced that the end does not justify the means and that we have a responsibility to our donors, the association as a whole, and especially to our scholarship holders to collect our funds responsibly and transparently.

Therefore, in 2011, a guideline for ethical fundraising was created, further developed over the years, and supplemented by guidelines for cooperation (as of 2022).

Further Guidelines

In addition, the association has the following further guidelines: finances, travel expenses, financial support for travel to target regions, sustainability, coverage of training costs, changes to existing and the start of new projects, administrative guidelines for scholarship programs and projects, guidelines for individual programs and projects, online voting.

If you have any questions about the guidelines, please contact kontakt@studieren-ohne-grenzen.org
